future travel plans

G`day ya`ll !

Hope you are having a good time whereever you currently are!

I`d like to let ya know, what my future travel plans for the next 4 to 5 weeks look like.
It`s all up to the weather, healthiness and other outside influences... but anyway...
let`s see how close plans and reality will be!

Katherine to Darwin on Friday, 30.11.2007
Darwin to Litchfield NP 03.12.2007
Litchfield - Alice Springs - Adelaide = 07.12.2007
Adelaide = until approx. 11.12.2007
Adelaide - Melbourne - 11.12.2007/14.12.2007
Melbourne - arrival 15.12.2007

Stay in Melbourne for XMAS

New Years Eve 31.12.2007 in Sydney - but maybe in Melbourne.
I prefer Sydney not only because it`s closer to Brisbane (and I have to get there soon) but as well because it shall be more amazing to see the Harbour Bridge on fireworX at New Years Eve!

I will try to sell my VAN maybe already in Sydney and if it would work
out, go to Brisbane by Bus (Greyhound).

Currently I`m not sure, if I will get my flight on 07.01.2008 to NZ -
but in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane are Emirates-Airline-Offices - an
flight-date-alternation would be possible at any time.

Thats all for now...

TAKE IT EASY GUYS!!

ReREGO

Hay ya`ll !

hope everybode is doing very well !
Today I did re-register (Zulassung verlängert) my van for another six month.
When leaving Australia in January 2008 and heading for New Zealand it will be sold with a current rego.

Let´s see how the pre-defined workflow will work (ReRego was done for an address in QLD/Cairns) and when I can receive the sticker.

Further news regarding my travels:
Because of an allergic reaction to mangos by picking them I made an "gentlemen agreement" with the farmer. I will have a 2days rest and start on THU, 22.11 for one week before I leave Katherine.

Heading for Darwin I gonna see if I can stop at the "Edith Falls" and see the Worldheritage-listed Nationalpark "Kakadu Nationalpark" and the Litchfield NP.

Currently I`m considering about the plans to go to Perth. A decision is to be made at least in Darwin in a few days... until then... everythang`s possible.

That`s all for now!

Katherine - update NOV 12, 2007

Hay ya'll !

Hope you all are doing goood!
I'm still fruit-picking in Katherine... while we have this weather here
(39° C during the day, 25° C during the night -
"What makes it more interesting"?:
Without air-condidtion of course) :

http://www.weatherzone.com.au/nt/darwin-daly/katherine

It's really hard to work 10 hours in the sun.. especially during mid-day.
Only wearing a long-sleeve, long pants and a hat and drinking heaps of water (approx 6 Litre from 06:00 to 17:00) makes me stay'in alive!

For all a general information:
I have no mobilephone connection at these days!

All communications are to be made by email only!

Thats all for now...

have a good time and c ya!

G goes F - Katherine

Hay ya'll !

the G-MAN goes Fruitpicking every day.
Start is in the early moring at six - so I have to get up at 05:15 in the morning (or better: in the night).

After ten hours (or even more as today) the cold shower makes me feel human again.
The "pro's" of my job are:

I stay on the Farmers property WITH POWER for free, there's a hot/cold shower and toilets almost just for me.

And there's even a fridge - since nearly six month the first time I can use one permanently (more or less during the 2 weeks).

Well... whatelse to say:

Internet is expensive here in the little town of Katherine (335km south of Darwin) and the humidity may kill me some day... ;-)

ciao, the G-MAN

Katherine Gorge

The fullday selfguided canoe tour in the Katherine Gorge.
I was a REAL HIGHLIGHT for me and I could gain some energy out of it - so I should be strong enough to survive the fruitpicking-period.

===============================

In der Trockenzeit (the dry) und im "the built-up"

Natur pur!

Tropischer Urwald !

KEIN KOMMENTAR NOTWENDIG

einfach malerisch um 07:23 im Morgengrauen!

Ey Schluchten ey booooaaa ey.....
Jedes kleinste Geräusch war sehr gut hörbar.

Und was auch wichtig ist/war:
Keine Massen an Touristen!

on the way to the "Top End"

As I started in Alice Springs my next Stop is gonna be one of the following:

Larrimah (just for the night)
Mataranka (Thermal Springs)
Katherine (Katherine Gorge, Fruit Picking)
Darwin - Sightseeing

and of course
Litchfield Nationalpark
Kakadu NP.

As I received a message from Lisa & Patrice, they had to go to Adelaide because of their Van.
This means, the G-MAN is on Tour completely alone.

I hope the best for Lisa & Patrice and I guess we will meet on a special occasion like Xmas or New Years Eve or Patrice' Birthday on Jan 05. Or maybe in New Zealand... who knows...

On the way to the TOP END I stopped at the Mataranka Thermal Pools and at the "Cutta Cutta Cave".

Finally I decided to stay in Katherine for a while to earn some money in the fruitpicking industry.

All further information in the upcoming blog-post.

DE:
Fläche: 357,021 km²
82,314,900 Mio Einwohner
macht dann 230.9/km²

NT:
Fläche: 1,420,970 km
209,000 Einwohner
macht dann:
0.147/km² (Einwohner pro)

The EXPLORER on his way....

(Story is provided to dedicated friends only)
===============================

Before I left Alice Springs I had to have a quick step into the

Baby Kangaroo Rescue Station! (LINK is coming soon)

===============================

===============================

Katherine Gorge - NP - Campground - one night before I made the self-guided caone-tour...
this snake approched...

A snake close to the men amentities... huuuaaaa!
Just imagine... sitting on the toilette... and a snake wants to cuddle.... huuuuaaaaaaa!
