Whangamata (Surfing)

Whangamata (maps.google.com.au-link) is one of New Zealands best surfing spots since the early 1960s. Read the Wikipedia article about Whangamata.

At least I gave it a try ... and took the board out for my first surf.... and it was so good fun!

Just a short comment about surfing:

To get the feet on the board and stand on it - do surfing - was more easy than to catch a wave.
